Shimano Deore XT m737 Left Side 3-speed Shifter And Brake Lever

This shifter and brake lever look great.  The shifter was sticking from sitting for many years unused.  I degreased it and got it to click through.  It now reliably shifts through both positions if you press the lever straight through it's who range of motion.  With this model, the top gear can usually be reached not only by pressing all the way through, but with a second, short stroke. Press the thumb once for the middle ring, and then again for the top ring.  But that second, short click is isn't reliably catching the mechanism.  It is possible more degreasing will fix that problem, but I'm not sure.  The shifter does work. It does reach both gears.  It's just that you have to press through the whole range of the lever instead of using two short presses.
